A Day with Strawberry Shortcake

We went to Olivia's second concert today. It was a bright sunny day and Strawberry Shortcake was playing at the fairgrounds in Pleasanton. They had a big kids fair going on with carnival rides, face painting, games and lots of stuff to buy. Olivia got a tattoo, flew a plan, drove a car and had lots of fun. Emma and her parents came to meet us for the show. Check out the pictures from the day and the video of Olivia's pony ride. She got to ride a pony named "Candy" who "looked like Honey Pie Pony!".

Floater in the Tub

"I poopied in the tub, EEEW that disgusting" called Olivia into the early fall night. And so the famous floater story is born.
Olivia likes to hang out in the tub as the water is going out to practice her back float (not very difficult in 2 inches of water, but hey she's trying). So while I was drying Phia and getting her to brush her teeth, Olivia I guess had a rumble in her tummy and ooops, let one go. She freaked and daddy swooped into to pull her from the now tainted water. It was pretty funny and of course we had to talk about it the rest of the night. That was after I got in there with my HAZMAT suit on and got rid of the floater. Lysol, scubbing bubbles, Comet, you name it I used it to clean out the tub. I guess we are not considered potty trained if we a leaving presents in the tub.

You kids!!

Chatty Olivia has a new line she has been using on us these days... When she wants something from Kim and I she said "You kids come here", or "Hey kids, will you get me that!". It pretty funny. Grandmom got a phone call tonight that probably made her dizzy. Olivia asked to call Grandmom back after Kim hung up the phone. What she got was a 20 minute talking to that included info about "mouses" and what Phia was doing, and an invite to come out when Olivia said "You kids can come out to my house". The whole time she talked I don't think she took one breath. Call anytime if you want someone to talk at you for about 20 minutes. Its actually very entertaining. Kim, Phia, Gracie and I hear it 24/7!

Bless You???

So how does an almost 3 year old get her parents attention when she decides she wants to get up from her nap. Well, recently Olivia has been told not to scream her usual "DADDY, I'M AWAKE!!", because that wakes up Phia, Gracie and whatever neighbors kids happen to be sleeping at that time. So, click here to see her newly devised technique. Subtle to say the least.

The Crazy Hair Lady

We took the girls to dinner last night to kill some time between pick up and bed time. Half way through dinner Olivia points to some lady about 3 tables away and says "That lady has crazy hair!!". Let's just say Kim and I were as embarrassed as we could possibly be, but luckily the "crazy-hair" lady did not hear. OK, so even though some other people heard it, we were in the clear. So we thought!! A little later the "crazy hair" lady started walking toward our table. Thinking she was going to lecture us about our lack of parenting and our rude daughter, I stuffed my mouth with some food and turned toward the baseball game on the big TV. Luckily, she came over to complement us on our beautiful family. She even went so far to say that Olivia had a beautiful name. Little did she know, about the "crazy hair" comment AND after she left, Olivia asked "hey, where did the crazy hair lady go??" Just for the record the hair was a dyed blonde bun, that was a little loose so it had some wild strands sticking out. Just think, Sophia will be talking soon too. Weeeeee.

NO TOUCHY!, No Touchy!

Diana and Kim took Philip and Olivia to Fairyland to go on rides and play a bit for the day. Sophia and Gracie stayed home with Greg. Check out some pictures from the "American Round" that Olivia and Philip went on. "American Round" is what Olivia called it. My favorite picture is "Olivia the Piggy". They seemed to have a lot of fun riding the train from the look of the big smiles. Diana got spinners for everyone and they were a hit. Sophia carried it around all night. Kim and Diana stopped at the store on the way home to pick up snacks and dinner. Not sure where in the hood they stopped for snacks, but the "Corn Cheaps" seem to indicate it was a discount grocer. See pic below.
Philip and Olivia watched The Emperors New Grove and made Greg rewind their favorite part about 30 times. The clip is playing on Princess TV for you. After building a fort Olivia and Philip were playing a bit and knocked heads. This lead to ice bags for everyone. See fun pics below.

Aunt Diana and Cousin Philip Come to CA

Diana and Philip arrived in California today to the delight of Olivia. Olivia was very excited to show Philip the yard and open birthday presents. After a while playing in the yard everyone was ready for dinner. Olivia, Philip and Greg went to get pizza at BlackHawk Pizza and took a detour to through a car wash. We had pizza then broke out an ice cream cake to celebrate Philip's birthday. Philip became a rock star and we saw a "San Francisco Alligator". Lots of pictures below to entertain. More to come tomorrow.
