Gracie's Gaining and Growing

A lot going on today. Olivia had ballet class this morning and got her outfit for the recital in June. The girls have these really cute duckie costumes and they got to try them on today at class. 12 little duckies running around screaming and giggling. What a start to the day.

Gracie gained 30 grams and is now 3lbs 12 oz. I got there in time for the 11:00 feeding and we did it with the bottle. She took a little less than half in from the bottle before she got tired of sucking. She did really well maintaining her vitals while sucking, swallowing and breathing. Again, daddy did not do a great job at maintaining his vitals during it all, but I am getting better =). The best news was that when the cardiologist showed up, finally at 4:00 his diagnosis of the murmur was that it was a normal hole at the top of the heart that usually closes in "term babies" before they are born. So this is normal for a 34 weeker and should close on its own. We will have Gracie re checked at about 4 months to confirm it. The docs increased her feeds to 32 ccs and she is doing well with it. Hopefully she will continue to gain weight daily. Her head also grew to 29.5 centimeters up .5 centimeters.
